CAMDEN — The Camden Public Library will be preparing for the April 8 solar eclipse by hosting the director of USM's Southworth Planetarium, Edward Herrick-Gleason, for a crash course about all things eclipse on Saturday, April 6, at 2 p.m., via Zoom

Herrick-Gleason will address questions such as: Why do eclipses occur? Why are they rare (or are they)? What can we expect to see?

“Even though the eclipse won’t be total in Camden, the event still promises to be spectacular,” said CPL, in a news releaes.

Attendees will also get a preview of the entire eclipse timeline: from first contact, to maximum, to the final contact.

“The April 8th eclipse is expected to be the most watched eclipse in world history, and this is a great chance to learn more ahead of the big day,” said CPL.
