Penobscot County man confirmed dead at Maine State Prison in Warren

    WARREN — A Penobscot County man, serving a 20-year sentence in Maine State Prison in Warren, has died, according to the state Department of Corrections.

    Jerry Robin Lydick, 56, died at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 24. Consistent with department policy and the state Attorney General’s Office’s protocols, Maine State Police and the state Medical Examiner have been notified and both are reviewing the death.

    No cause of death was provided in the news release, which was sent today around 2:45 p.m.

    At the time of his death, Lydick had served approximately two years and three months of a straight 20-year sentence for convictions of two counts of gross sexual assault and one count of unlawful sexual contact. He was sentenced June 4, 2012, in Kennebec County Superior Court.
