Event has passed

ROCKLAND — Penobscot Bay Language School (PBLS), will host a Volunteer Open House on Saturday, April 20, from 3 to 5 p.m. The Open House will kick-off National Volunteer Week — a week recognizing the contributions of volunteers around the country.

PBLS is marking the occasion with this event to both thank its current volunteers, and to encourage potential volunteers to get involved with PBLS to support its mission: To develop and provide opportunities for the people of Midcoast Maine and around the world to explore our shared experience on earth through the study and celebration of language and culture.

Join PBLS for a cheese and chocolate fondue bar with other refreshments, music, and a brief informational presentation about volunteering with PBLS and current volunteer opportunities at the school. Individuals considering volunteering with the school will hear from current volunteers in an open discussion about their experiences volunteering.

Please register online at https://www.penobscot.us or call the school at 207 594-1084.
