ROCKPORT – It was Staff Appreciation Day at Camden Hills Regional High School on Thursday, March 15,  day when parents prepare and take in dishes to provide lunch for the teachers and staff at the high school.

Tisha O'Brien, one of the parent organizers, said it's hard when kids get to high school for parents to get in and show the teachers how much they are appreciated as when the kids are younger.

"This is one day when people make special dishes and try to make it look a little fancy," she said. "Just something to make them feel appreciated."

Parents prepared and brought in the dishes to feed the entire high school staff.

"We're just getting started," she said. "And I think we'll have enough food, we're still cooking though. We'll have three shifts of teachers through lunch."

From soup and salads to entree's and dessert, the variety of foods could please any palate from vegetarian to the hearty meat eater. Even sushi was on the menu.
