The Midcoast sports scene was busy with several sporting events on Friday, Oct. 21. 

Below are the scores and stats for those contests that were reported to our sports department.

Varsity Boys Soccer: Searsport 6, Gould 4

At South Portland, Connor Kneeland and Barrett Grant each scored three goals as the #9 seeded Vikings from Searsport beat the #8 seeded Bears from Gould. Charlie Spiegel, Jason Frazee and Grant added assists for the Vikings, who will now face the #1 seeded Richmond Bobcats.

Tyrese Collins added three goals for Gould with Abdi Ibrahim completing the scoring in the game.

Searsport keeper Ben Powell made five saves on 15 shots, while Gould keeper Brian Taylor made six saves on 16 shots.
