NWS: 3-5 inches of snow likely across Maine tonight

    GRAY — A fast-moving low pressure system is expected to bring a few more inches of snow to the Midcoast late Tuesday and Tuesday night.

    According to the National Weather Service, snow will begin in Maine shortly after sunset into the early evening. It will continue through the overnight, ending by sunrise Wednesday.

    All of Maine is expected to receive snow from this quick storm.

    Over the southern half of New Hampshire and southwest Maine, some rain or freezing rain could briefly mix in with the snow, according to the NWS.

    Snow accumulations will generally range from 3 to 5 inches.

    A winter weather advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday. Winds will be 5-15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph. Temperatures will remain in the lower 20s.
