Event has passed

ROCKLAND — The Rockland Public Library presents Nick Lund, Thursday, May 2, at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to all.

Birdsong is the soundtrack of nature, and is also a birder’s most important tool for identification – if you can remember what you’re hearing, that is. Nick Lund will discuss all the different kinds of sounds birds make and provide helpful tools to remember the vocalizations of some of Maine’s most common species.

Nick Lund is a conservationist and nature writer who lives and birds in Southern Maine. He is the Advocacy and Outreach Manager for Maine Audubon and runner of The Birdist blog (www.thebirdist.com). Lund is the author of The American Birding Association Field Guide to the Birds of Maine. His writing on birds and nature has appeared in Audubon magazine, Slate.com, The Washington Post, The Maine Sportsman, The Portland Phoenix, and Down East magazine, among others.

This event will take place in the Community Room and will be livestreamed via Zoom; the Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St.
