Minor injuries in Owls Head rollover

    OWLS HEAD — At approximately 1 p.m. Jan. 22, Deputy Matt Elwell responded to a single-vehicle, rollover crash on North Shore Dr. in Owls Head.

    Dwayne Knowlton, 43, of Rockland, was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound. Knowlton said his tires went off the travel portion of the road into the soft shoulder, according to a news release. 

    “Knowlton apparently overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle,” the release said. “He skidded across the road, struck a tree and rolled the vehicle over. Knowlton was treated at the scene by Rockland EMS for a minor cut and released. Knowlton was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.”

    Owls Head Fire also responded to the scene and assisted with traffic.
