Midcoast throwers clinic to be held Saturday with NCAA Division I coach

ROCKPORT — Camden Hills Regional High School will be the host site for the Midcoast throwers clinic, with emphasis on javelin, discus and shot put, Saturday, July 8. 

Nash Oven of Robert Morris University, a NCAA Division I program, will be a guest coach. Oven has been an assistant coach with the Colonials for the past decade producing 16 NCAA Division I East Regional Championship qualifiers within his first nine seasons with the program. Oven, who is an instructor for USATF, has coached over 30 track and field student-athletes at Robert Morris who have been honored as All-Northeast Conference selections. Oven holds two USATF Level II certificates in throws and sprints/hurdles. Prior to Robert Morris, Oven coached at Slippery Rock University and Babson College. 

The event, which will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., is free of cost with a suggestion donation of $5.
