In a collaborative effort with the Maine Association of REALTORS (MAR) Foundation Matching Grant Program, the Pen Bay Council of the Mid-Coast Board of REALTORS has made a generous donation to Midcoast Habitat for Humanity.

“This contribution is aimed at supporting the Firefly Field Project on Talbot Avenue in Rockland, a key initiative to provide affordable housing options in the community,” said Mid-Coast Board of REALTORS, in a news release.

Community Impact Through Collaboration

Victoria Condon, president of the Pen Bay Council of the Mid-Coast Board of REALTORS, highlights the collective effort: “Thanks to our REALTOR community’s dedication in 2023, and the Matching Grant Program by the MAR Foundation, we have directed significant funds to stay within our community, supporting the Firefly Field Project.”

Tia Anderson, executive director of Midcoast Habitat for Humanity, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support: “The continued backing of MAR and the Pen Bay Council of REALTORS is invaluable. These funds are crucial for developing affordable rentals and homeownership opportunities in Rockland, contributing significantly to community health and resident well-being."

A Unified Mission

“This donation exemplifies the strength of collaboration between the Pen Bay REALTOR community, the MAR Foundation, and Midcoast Habitat for Humanity in striving for a common goal – the development of affordable housing that meets the needs of local residents,” said MAR.
