Merryspring online program to hear from Aaron Englander: Soil Health

Aaron Englander will lead an online presentation called Soil Health: A key to climate resiliency and healthy communities, hosted by Merryspring Nature Center on Tuesday, January 23, at 12 p.m. 

Englander will discuss the importance of soil health as a natural climate solution, and will touch upon regenerative agriculture techniques utilized at Erickson Fields and Aldermere Farm that build healthy soils. Some key themes covered will be soil carbon, organic matter, natural farming, rotational grazing, youth engagement and community well-being through land conservation. 

Englander is Associate Director of Stewardship for Maine Coast Heritage Trust's Aldermere Farm and Erickson Fields, both community educational farms in Rockport owned and operated by Maine Coast Heritage Trust, a coastwide land conservation organization.

This talk is part of Merryspring’s Online Winter Talk series, co-sponsored by Camden Riverhouse Hotel.
