WALDOBORO — Students at the Medomak Valley Middle and High schools were presented with a special interactive industry experience when Bath Iron Works visited Waldoboro April 8 and 9, bringing the training trailer "Shipbuilder 1" to the MVHS campus.

BIW uses its interactive mobile classroom trailer to support training and hiring efforts, and is a tool for students to learn about the many trade opportunities offered at Bath Iron Works.

The trailer is equipped with virtual reality training tools for an interactive experience including virtual welders, virtual spray painting, and more.
