Medomak 8th baseball knocks off HAL, CRMS

WALDOBORO and ROCKPORT — The Medomak Middle School eighth grade baseball team welcomed the Hope-Appleton-Lincolnville squad to Waldoboro on Friday, May 18, while hitting the road to challenge Camden-Rockport on Monday, May 21. 

In both cases, the Riverhawks were able to secure victories. 

Medomak 14, Hope-Appleton-Lincolnville 2 (6 innings) 

At the plate for the Riverhawks were Brady Carter (home run, double, single), Jake Bickmore (two doubles, single), Colby Brown (two doubles), Garrett Hutchins (single), Zim Cunningham (single) and Aiden Sawyer (single). 

Working the mound for the Riverhawks were Carter (two runs, six hits, five strikeouts, four walks) and Noah Ludwig (two hits, three strikeouts, walk). 

At the plate for HAL were Bernier (single, double), Tohmczyn (single), Dayhoof (single), F. Stone (single), Coffey (single), Wyman (single) and Kremin (single).

Medomak 12, Camden-Rockport 4

At the plate for Medomak were Hutchins (two singles, Bickmore (double), Cole Wallace (double), Carter (single), Trystan Francis (single), Ludwig (single) and Cunningham (single). 

At the plate for Camden-Rockport was Sawyer, who collected the team’s lone single. 

Working the mound for Medomak were Hutchins (two runs, one hit, one strikeout, two walks), Wallace (two runs, four strikeouts, four walks) and Brown.
