The Midcoast sports scene was busy with several sporting events on Friday, May 12.

Varsity Girls Tennis: Waterville 4, Oceanside 1

1st Singles: Gabby Simmons lost to Samantha Saulter 0-6, 0-6
2nd Singles: Molly Davis lost to Maggie Brock 2-6, 0-6

Varsity Baseball: Oceanside 15, Mount View 1

Oceanside (5-3) scored five runs in the third, four in the fourth and six in the seventh. Mount View (2-6) scored its lone run in the first inning. 

On the mound for Oceanside: Michael Dougherty (five innings, one run, one earned run, four hits, two strikeouts, three walks, one hit-by-pitch) and Matt Waldron (one inning, one strikeout). 

On the mound for Mount View: Riley Boulay (three innings, five runs, four earned runs, seven hits, four strikeouts, one walk), Joey Danna (one inning, four runs, four earned runs, four hits, one walk), Kevin Richards (1.2 innings, two runs, two earned runs, three hits, two strikeouts) and Chris Dodge (0.3 innings, four runs, four earned runs, four hits and one strikeout). 

At the plate for Oceanside: Norton (three singles, double, two runs, two RBIs), Coby Dorr (two singles, double, two runs, two RBIs), Tim Mazzeo (two singles, RBI), Titus Kaewthong (single, double, RBI), Jack Freeman (two doubles, RBI). 

Varsity Softball: Oceanside 29, Mount View 0

Oceanside (6-2) socred one run in the first, three in the second, eight in the third, five in the fourth and 12 in the fifth inning. 

In the circle for Oceanside was Chloe Jones (five innings, 11 strikeouts, two walks, two hits). 

In the circle for Mount View was Alex Fountain (three innings, six walks) and Reanna Boulay (two innings, five walks).
