Marcia Kyle named speaker of the House of Delegates of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator Marcia Kyle, of Rockport, has been elected speaker of the House of Delegates of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The Academy is the world's largest organization of nutrition professionals, with more than 100,000 members worldwide, and is committed to improving health and advancing the profession of dietetics through research, education and advocacy.

As speaker, Kyle will preside over the 105-member House of Delegates, the Academy's legislative body. She has previously served the Academy in many positions, including as Maine's House Delegate.

Kyle is the regional manager of diabetes and nutrition ambulatory services for Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital. In 2017, Pen Bay Medical Center's Diabetes and Nutrition Care Center achieved national recognition for the third consecutive year from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control for its successful diabetes prevention program.
