Maine Senate President Michael Thibodeau, R-Waldo, said March 15 that Republicans will be on the ballot for all 35 senate seats in Maine.

All candidates have successfully gathered the 100 required signatures from their districts and submitted them to the Secretary of State’s Office where those signatures were validated.

“I am very encouraged by the caliber of candidates we have for this year’s election and the support they received throughout the state, “Sen. Thibodeau said, in a news release. “Our outstanding candidates come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are running for reelection and others are new to the process. But the common denominator is they are all committed to making Maine a better place to work and live."

Republicans currently hold the majority in the Maine Senate and have since 2014.
