Maine Coast Islands to host reception for inaugural juried art show

    ROCKLAND — A reception featuring art selected for the Maine Coastal Islands first juried art show will take place on Friday, August 4 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

    The show features Maine coastal wildlife created by artists of all ages and abilities. The show will be at the Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 9 Water Street in Rockland.

    During the reception, you will have the opportunity to choose your favorite artist and student works and vote for the "People's Choice Awards." This show also will be open during the month of August,
    on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 594-0600 x5.
