DAMARISCOTTA — "The Little Holiday Show" art show at the Kefauver Studio & Gallery, Damariscotta, offers original art for holiday giving that suits every budget. The show runs through January 2nd.

The most affordable art in the show is arguably the most unique. Sherie Lehman turned her photographs into refrigerator magnets, displayed on an actual refrigerator panel. A holiday tree in the gallery is decorated with ornaments from four artists: Kathi Nordone created "chipadees," tiny circles of wood with paintings on them, and Kathleen Horst has original matted watercolors hung on ribbons. Keeping the holidays all in the family, both Will Kefauver and daughter Justine Kefauver have created ornaments for the tree. Will Kefauver has original oils for sale, and Justine Kefauver has tiny hand-knitted hats hung on hemp string.

In a low-price range, gallery visitors will find oils by Beth Badger; photographs by Sherie Lehman and Laurie Raba; watercolors by Dudley Merritt (unframed), Kathleen Horst, Jan Kilburn, Judy Nixon, and Cindy Spencer; and linocut prints by Rachel Wyman.

Shoppers looking for a gift in the medium price range will find acrylics by DiTa Ondek; oils by George Baker, Lisa Kyle, Brooke Pacy, Sandra Dunn, and Barbara Vanderbilt; photographs and gouache paintings by Jane Bowman, photographs by Jim Nyce; watercolors by Jan Kilburn and Dudley Merritt; and linocut prints by Deborah Kozak.

The more expensive pieces of art feature work by sculptor Marnie Sinclair; oils by Albert Bross, Carolyn Gabbe, Sally Loughridge, Marlene Loznicka, Kim Hetherington, Liliana Thelander, and Marcia Brandwein; photographs by Claudia Noyes Griffiths; gouaches by Virginia Forrest; and watercolors by Kathi Nordone, Dudley Merritt, and Jan Kilburn.

Will Kefauver has original oils and prints in "The Little Holiday Show." He is President of the Pemaquid Group of Artists, and is a Signature Member of the National Society of Artists and the Bristol Road Galleries in Damariscotta. Kefauver also teaches beginning and intermediate painting classes in oils and acrylics for teens and adults in his studio.

Original art makes a unique and personal gift for holiday gift giving, or for those special lifetime events, such as weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. Kefauver invites shoppers to visit the gallery and enjoy one of the many reasons Damariscotta and midcoast Maine are exceptional: a wealth of gorgeous artwork created by local artists.

The Kefauver Studio & Gallery is located at 144 Bristol Road, Damariscotta, and is open from 10:00 – 6:30 daily. Will Kefauver can be reached at 207-226-0974, will@kefauverstudio.com, or www.kefauverstudio.com
