Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases

    ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from March 12-16.

    Robert S. Baines, 62, of South Thomaston, violation of scallop rule, Chapter 11, $500 fine.

    Joseph Burdett, 36, of Vassalboro, operating under the influence (alcohol), $750 fine, license suspended 150 days; operating while license suspended or revoked, $250 fine.

    Jeffrey Aaron Butler, 34, of Rockport, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, priors, 60 days in jail; burglary of a motor vehicle, 60 days in jail.

    William Calkins, 29, of Vinalhaven, failure to register vehicle, $100 fine.

    Jacob Michael Carney, 26, of the Maine State Prison, escape, additional nine months in jail. Carney was indicted by the Knox County grand jury Dec. 4 for escaping Aug. 16 from the Maine State Prison in Warren. After leaving the prison’s farm area while on a work detail, he was later apprehended in Rockland by Rockland Police.

    Daniel R. Chamberland, 28, of Warren, assault, six months in jail.

    Jeffrey S. Eaton, 60, of Cushing, operating under the influence (alcohol), $500 fine, 48 hours in jail, license suspended 150 days.

    Sandra A. Fetchen, 57, of Rockport, unlawful possession of scheduled drug, two counts, dismissed.

    Ethan K. Fink, 45, of Round Pond, operating while license suspended or revoked, $250 fine.

    Pomphile A. Fontaine, 33, of Rockland, criminal threatening, 29 days in jail; probation violation for original conviction for domestic violence assault, priors, nine months in jail, probation partially revoked, probation continued; probation violation for original conviction of tampering with witness, informant, juror or victim, nine months in jail, probation partially revoked, probation continued. The probation violations involved incidents documented in the affidavit filed by Detective Justin Twitchell of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office in Knox County Unified Court. Twitchell’s investigation included details about Fontaine assaulting a 13-year-old boy in May 2017 and another boy in December 2015 who was 16 at the time of the incident. Their injuries included bruises on the arm and neck and injured ribs due to being thrown to the ground. At the time, Fontaine was also charged with tampering with a victim after it was reported that he told one of the victims not to provide information to the police. Twitchell entered the investigation after the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received a referral from Hope Elementary School about a teacher’s concerns in reference to a neck injury with one of the victims. 

    Wade W. Graham, 64, of Lincolnville, failure to register, $250 fine.

    Niccole Hall, 35, of Belfast, theft by deception, dismissed.

    Colin M. Hatfield, 29, of St. George, failure to register vehicle, $250 fine.

    Alicia K. James, 57, of Rockland, operating under the influence (alcohol), $500 fine, license suspended 150 days.

    Tony Li, 55, of Brooklyn, wholesaling seafood without license, $500 fine.

    James J. Lunden, 33, of Norristown, operating under the influence (alcohol), dismissed; driving to endanger, $1,000 fine, license suspended 30 days.

    Thomas E. Lyman Jr., 46, of Lincolnville, failure to register vehicle, $250 fine.

    Jeffrey Mills, 60, of South Thomaston, violation of scallop rule, Chapter 11, $500 fine.

    Alisha L. Moulton, 29, of Belmont, failure to register vehicle, $150 fine.

    Paula Pachico, 59, of Northport, unlawful furnishing scheduled drug, dismissed; unlawful possession of scheduled drug, $500 fine.

    Nathanial B. Perkins, 32, of Thomaston, failure to register vehicle, $150 fine.

    Philip F. Poland, 44, of Cushing, violating condition of release, seven days in jail; disorderly conduct, offensive words, gestures, seven days in jail; refusing to submit to arrest or detention, physical force, seven days in jail.

    Victoria Porter, 53, of Rockland, criminal threatening, dismissed.

    Santana M. Rytky, 21, of Cushing, endangering the welfare of a child, 30 days in jail; domestic violence assault, 364 days in jail with all but 30 days suspended, probation one year. The investigation for endangering the welfare of a child began by Rockland Police in November 2015 when the child was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. The child, less that three months old, appeared to be spitting up blood and upon further examination, bruises were noticed by the medical staff. Also noted was that the child had a broken rib that was healing. Police reported that the child had been injured during an argument when the child was being held during a struggle.

    Gregory I. Singer, 28, of Camden, domestic violence criminal threatening, $1,000 fine.

    Jason K. Smith, 31, of Warren, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, priors, nine months in jail.

    Justin M. Smith, 25, of Rockland, operating under the influence (alcohol), one prior, $700 fine; 180 days in jail with all but 10 days suspended, probation one year, license suspended three years, registration suspended.

    Daniel Street, 25, of Rockland, criminal mischief, $250 fine; violating condition of release, 48 hours in jail.

    Shane Sturgeon, 30, of Rockland, criminal mischief, 15 days in jail. 

    Dylan Tedford, 25, of Edgecomb, shooting from motor vehicle, $200 fine.

    Michael Thompson, 32, of Thomaston, driving to endanger, $750 fine, license suspended 30 days.
