SWANVILLE — John S. Bryant Sr., 84 of Swanville, passed away January 12, 2018 at Harbor Hill in Belfast. He was born in Swanville on September 6, 1933 to John and Mabel (Craig) Bryant. John retired from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer II. He loved nature and worked as a farmer after his military service.

He is predeceased by both parents and a son John Bryant Jr. John is survived by his children Teresa McCall Goodwin and husband Steve of Goodlettsville, TN and Sam Bryant of Melrose, Massachusetts; one brother Ernest A Bryant (added name); his grandchildren Nancy Beckim, Randy Rhodes, Jr. Gary Long; seven great grandchildren; many friends of the family including Dan Petersen, Joy Baker, caregivers - Terri Barnett, Kandi Flemming, Zachary Barnett, Dale Gosselin, Linda Colson, Rebecca Sprague and Donna Bedard.

Services will be held at North Searsport Methodist Church, 471 Mt. Ephraim Road, Searsport, Maine on Sunday, January 21 at 2 p.m. with reception to follow.
