Joanne (Newton) LeSan, 67, of Farmingdale, passed away January 2, 2018 at Sussman House in Rockport. She was born January 10, 1950 in Appleton to Ronald and Madeline (Light) Newton. She worked at Halldale Manor as a CNA. After her retirement she had time to share her knitting and baked goods at craft fairs. Joanne loved finding a good yard sale as well as holding her own. Her grandchildren were very special to her, and she took great pleasure in sending them packages. Joanne was a huge advocate for animals and frequently donated to help their cause.

Joanne is predeceased by both parents; a brother Wendall Light; and sister Rebecca King. Survivors include her three sons, Rodney LeSan and wife Judith, of Morrill; Roy LeSan, of Searsmont; Brian LeSan, of Searsmont; 11 siblings, Deloris Newton Libby of Belmont, Ronald E. Newton Jr. of Liberty, Eugene Newton of Belmont, Patricia Bowen of Belfast, Ramona Ellsworth of Ohio, Kathleen Chaffee of Thorndike, Alice Ireland of Belfast, Rose Newton of Waldo, Ricky Newton of Florida, David Newton of Swanville, Harriet Huffman of Searsport; her beloved grandchildren, Megan Quatrano, Rodney LeSan Jr., Briania LeSan, Jessica LeSan; many nieces and nephews and her very good friends, Doris and Randy, Lee, Hope and Jessie as well as her two cats, Summer and Autumn.
