Jim Tolles to perform in Rockland library’s Reading Room Concert series

    ROCKLAND — The Rockland Public Library presents Jim Tolles, Thursday, February 22, at 6 p.m. This event is free and open to all.

    Jim Tolles, of Owl’s Head, will mark his sixtieth year of musical gigs with a concert in the library’s Reading Room. Tolles has played bluegrass, folk, country-rock, country, Cajun and contradance music. He has participated as vocalist, instrumentalist, and writer on albums on the Capitol, Rounder, and Flying Fish labels, as well as several self-produced CDs.

    Tolles will be appearing solo, singing and playing fiddle with recorded backing tracks that feature his own vocals and instrumental work.

    This event will take place in the Reading Room; the Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St. For more information, please email elewis@rocklandmaine.gov by 4 p.m. on February 22.
