Jamie A. Gross, obituary

Jamie Alex Gross, 58, of Belmont, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 10, 2017, while driving in the UBM Toy Run in Augusta.

Jamie was born on July 12, 1959 to Joyce and Reginald Gross in their family home in Frankfort.

Jamie loved the outdoors where he would hunt and fish, go mineral collecting and most recently, go for long motorcycle rides. He also enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. His most favorite thing to do, however, was spending time with his family and friends, most importantly his grandsons, Brendyn and Draven, his brother Tony and his best friend and son, Michael.

Jamie had a very large heart and showed it every day by helping anyone he could. He was a great man and will be greatly missed by many people.

Jamie is predeceased by his father; Reginald Gross, his brother; Terrance Gross, and his grandson; Herrick Michael Gross.

He is survived by his mother; Joyce Gross, his significant other; Michelle Ripley, his son; Michael Gross and his significant other Megan Herrick, his brothers; Dennis Gross, Bruce Gross, Ross Gross, Jeff Gross and Tony Gross and his sister Cindy Gross, his grandsons; Brendyn Kelley and Draven Thomas, his step kids; Breyton Thomas and Kira Sweetland and family, and lots of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be a public viewing at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast on Friday the 15th from 4-6pm. There will also be a private graveside service on Saturday the 16th for family only.
