Islesboro Police beat: Texas driver charged with speeding one day, totals car the following day

    ISLESBORO — The Islesboro Police Department reported the following activity for July 20-26, 2015. An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt.

    July 20
    • Officer Nickolas Von Husen conducted a radar detail on Main Road; no violations.
    • Von Husen received a motor vehicle complaint on West Shore Drive; upon further investigation the complaint was deemed unfounded.
    • Von Husen responded to a traffic hazard complaint on Main Road; the complaint was resolved by the RP.
    • Von Husen responded to a traffic offense on Mill Creek Road; Marc Lazard, 50, of New York City, was issued a summons for having a passenger improperly secured.
    • Von Husen conducted a parking enforcement detail on Ferry Road; no violations.
    • Von Husen conducted a business check on Main Road; property secure.

    July 21
    • Von Husen responded to a 911 disconnect on Derby Road; the caller had misdialed.
    • Von Husen responded to a 911 disconnect on Alumni Drive; the caller had misdialed.
    • Von Husen received an information complaint on Hewes Point Road; upon further investigation the complaint was deemed unfounded.
    • Von Husen conducted business checks on Airport Road, Mill Creek Road, and Ferry Road; all properties were found to be secure.

    July 22
    • Von Husen conducted a radar detail on Main Road; no violations.
    • Von Husen conducted a business checks on Main Road and Ferry Road; all properties were found to be secure.
    • Von Husen conducted a parking enforcement detail on Ferry Road; one violation.

    July 23
    • Von Husen conducted an agency assist on Jetty Road with the Islesboro Fire Department.
    • Elizabeth Hogue, 19, of Mansfield, Texas, was issued a summons for speeding.
    • Von Husen conducted business checks on Airport Road, Mill Creek Road and Alumni Drive; all properties were found to be secure.
    • Von Husen conducted a parking enforcement detail on Ferry Road; one violation.

    July 24
    • Public Safety Director Fred Porter conducted a radar detail on Main Road; one warning issued for speeding.
    • Porter conducted a business check on Alumni Drive; property secure.
    • Porter conducted a parking enforcement detail on Ferry Road; no violations.
    • Porter responded to a suspicious activity complaint on Alumni Drive; under investigation.
    • Porter responded to a motor vehicle accident on Pendleton Point Road; the vehicle was a total loss but all passengers were fine. Elizabeth Hogue, 19, of Mansfield, Texas, was in a single-vehicle accident on Pendleton Point Road. The vehicle hit a tree. At the conclusion of the investigation Porter issued her a summons for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

    July 25
    • Porter conducted a radar detail on Main Road; no violations.
    • Porter conducted a parking enforcement detail on Ferry Road; one violation.
    • Porter responded to a parking problem on Ferry Road; under investigation.

    July 26
    • Porter responded to a 911 disconnect on Pendleton Point Road; the caller had misdialed.
    • Porter responded to a suspicious activity complaint on Main Road; under investigation.
    • Porter conducted a parking enforcement detail on Ferry Road; one violation.
    • Porter received a disturbance complaint on Meadow Pond Road; under investigation.
