With just over one week remaining in the high school basketball season several teams have all but secured playoff spots, while other local squads are still holding out hope they will be able to work their way into the playoffs. 

Below is the current playoff picture using team records and standings that are accurate as of Jan. 30 at 2:40 p.m.  

BOYS BASKETBALL PLAYOFF PICTURE

Class A Boys North: Medomak Valley is in fourth place with a 10-4 record. The top eight teams in the 12 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class A Boys North: Camden Hills is in sixth place with an 8-5 record. The top eight teams in the 12 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class B Boys North: Oceanside is in fourth place with a 10-5 record. The top 11 teams in the 16 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class B Boys North: Belfast is in ninth place with a 6-8 record. The top 11 teams in the 16 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class B Boys North: Mount View is in 15th place with a 1-13 record. The top 11 teams in the 16 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class C Boys North: Searsport is in 16th place with a 6-9 record. The top 14 teams in the 20 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class D Boys South: Vinalhaven is in ninth place with a 3-14 record. The top eight teams in the 12 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class D Boys South: North Haven is in 11th place with a 3-10 record. The top eight teams in the 12 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYOFF PICTURE

Class A Girls North: Medomak Valley is in seventh place with a 9-5 record. The top eight teams in the 12 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class A Girls North: Camden Hills is in 10th place with a 2-11 record. The top eight teams in the 12 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class B Girls North: Oceanside is in 10th place with a 7-8 record. The top 11 teams in the 16 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class B Girls North: Mount View is in 14th place with a 4-9 record. The top 11 teams in the 16 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class B Girls North: Belfast is in 15th place with a 0-14 record. The top 11 teams in the 16 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class C Girls North: Searsport is in 16th place with a 6-7 record. The top 14 teams in the 20 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class D Girls South: Vinalhaven is in first place with a 16-0 record. The top eight teams in the 11 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class D Girls South: Islesboro is in ninth place with a 2-7 record. The top eight teams in the 11 team division qualify for the playoffs. 

Class D Girls South: North Haven is in 11th place with a 2-10 record. The top eight teams in the 11 team division qualify for the playoffs.
