Frederic 'Rick' Pierson of Camden, Maine, passed away October 7 peacefully at Sussman House leaving behind his wife, Regina, his family and many friends.

Rick was a man with an adventurous spirit, moving him from New York City to upstate New York, to New Jersey, to Cape Cod and finally to Maine.

He could do just about anything he set his mind to, a 'Rick' of all trades. Draftsman, executive, small farmer, business owner, boat builder, furniture maker, house turner, realtor, teacher, volunteer, car renovator, artist, and more, he was willing to always try something new and excelled at it all.

He will be remembered for his kindness, can-do spirit, positive attitude, sense of humor and great story-telling.

His family would like to recognize the Sussman House and its amazing staff for making an unbearable time, bearable.

Their kindness will not be forgotten and ask in lieu of flowers or a service that well wishers make a donation in kind to this amazing facility that allowed his family to be with him.
