ROCKPORT — The former home of Fuller Chevrolet GMC, at 330 Commercial Street, was sold by Kolmosky #2 LLC to Rockport LLC on May 2, according to the warranty deed filed with the Knox County Registry of Deeds in Rockland.

The property, consists of three parcels, at the corner of Commercial St. (Route 1) and Pascal Ave.

Both Kolmosky #2 LLC and Rockport Center LLC, are recorded with the state of Maine as limited liability companies.

The principal of Rockport Center LLC, Douglas Clayton, of Camden, confirmed by telephone on May 9 that his plan is to renovate the building into separate units during the coming year or sooner, so the space may be rented to commercial tenants. He said his vision for the building is to possibly include a café, retail space and offices. Plans are in the preliminary stage.

Clayton said that the space will be called the Rockport Center.

Edward and Tammy Kolmosky purchased the property in 1999 for $675,000, according to the Town of Rockport. At this date, the price paid for the property is not available in public records since the filing with the state is not yet complete, along with the transfer of information to the Rockport Town Office for tax assessment records.
