GRAY — The National Weather Service has placed the entire state under a flood watch Tuesday and Wednesday. Mild temperatures, which are causing rapid snow melt, and periodic rainfall are working together to keep lakes, ponds, rivers and streams running high through the middle of the week.

Rainfall is expected to be 1-2 inches, with a south wind at 20-25 mph Tuesday into Tuesday night. The high Tuesday will be near 53 degrees Fahrenheit and the low will be around 34 F that night.

There is a 30 percent chance of more rain Wednesday morning, then a gradual clearing with a high near 41 F. It will still be breezy, but with a northwest wind at 15 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph. Wednesday will be even colder than Tuesday night, with a low of around 25 F.

But Thursday and Friday are looking nice again, with sunny skies and a high of 43 F Thursday and mostly sunny skies Friday with a high near 47 F.
