First annual LiveStrong race draws a crowd to Camden Snow Bowl

ROCKPORT — Runners and walkers — 148 total — turned out under 80 degree temperatures, Saturday, July 12, during the inaugural LiveSTRONG RunSTRONG 5K road race in support of Penobscot Bay YMCA’s cancer survivor program.

Participants started and finished at the Camden Snow Bowl.

Jack Marin won the event with a time of 19:15.1.  The women’s overall winner, Augusta Stockman of Camden, crossed the finish line at 21:27.1. 

The HOPE Triathlon took place Sunday, July 13.  David Drew of Litchfield finished ahead of the other 62 participants with a time of 1:08:03.9.  Amy Root of Hope took the award for first women’s finisher at 1:15:02.2.
