FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance Team will be at Knox County EMA, April 19- 20, and 22-23

Mainers who live in Cumberland, Hancock, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Waldo, Washington or York counties and suffered damage from the severe storms and flooding that took place January 9-13, FEMA or the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) may be able to provide financial assistance for replacement or repairs. Assistance may include grants for temporary housing, uninsured or underinsured home repairs and personal property, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the disaster.

To apply for FEMA assistance, go online to DisasterAssistance.gov, download the FEMA App for mobile devices, call toll-free 800-621-3362, or stop by the Knox County Emergency Management Office at 301 Park Street in Rockland, to visit with a FEMA DSA representative.

No appointments necessary – just stop by anytime during the following hours:

April 19   Friday   9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
April 20   Saturday   9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
April 22   Monday   9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
April 23   Tuesday   9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

If you have already signed up online, you can still come in person to ask questions. The deadline to apply for federal disaster assistance is May 20, 2024.
