Escaped inmate from Warren facility back in custody

    WARREN – An inmate who escaped early Wednesday morning, Oct. 11, from the Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren has been apprehended, according to a news release issued by the Maine Department of Corrections.

    Commissioner Joseph Fitzpatrick confirmed that Jason Brown, 33, had left the facility unauthorized at approximately 1 a.m., and was considered an escaped inmate. He was apprehended near the facility this morning, Oct. 11, at approximately 9 a.m.

    According to Knox County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Patrick Polky, the office did not participate in the search which was conducted by prison staff. 

    No other information will be released at this time, according to the news release from the Commissioner.
