OWLS HEAD — Dorothy Campbell, 90, passed away Sept. 17, 2014, at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

Born Nov. 7, 1923, in Northbridge Center, Mass., she was the daughter of Maurice B. and Flavilla Bridges Kennedy.

In 1936, Dorothy became a member of the Pratt Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church in Rockland.

She graduated from Rockland High School in 1942.

On Dec. 19, 1949, she married Joseph R. Campbell.

For 10 years, Dorothy worked at Lamb's Dry Cleaners as a seamstress, and 18 years at F. J. O'Haras.

She was a member of the AARP club, Rockland Senior Citizens Club and Ladies Guild. She became a member of the Rockland Congregational Church in 1997. She was very active in all her clubs and church.

An avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, she also enjoyed sewing, gardening, travel and embroidery.

Predeceased by her husband in 1994, Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Linda Stewart of Warren and Lorraine Fowles of Rockland; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A private burial will be held at Achorn Cemetery in Rockland.
