Dianne Lee (Aldus) Blake, 71, passed peacefully on Dec. 1, 2016, surrounded by her family. Dianne was born May 13, 1945, in Belfast

Dianne was full of life and was the center of her family. Married to Norman C. Blake for 52 years, Dianne lead a life full of generosity, love and purpose. She made those around her smile and gladly gave strength and support when needed. She was a loving guide for her children: Jeffrey A. Blake, Paula B. Kavanagh, Kevin W. Blake, Jan B. Winchester and Nicole A. Blake, as well as their spouses and her nine grandchildren. Her family was her most cherished accomplishments.

Dianne was the daughter of the late Walter and Ida Aldus. As the middle child of 11, she embraced her role as sister and quickly became a dependable source of comfort and friendship.

While raising her children, Dianne stayed home, opening her doors to care for many children, positively impacting the lives of many. Dianne's enduring gift of laughter, kindness, and love with forever be remembered by her family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast.
