Taking a closer look at the issues

Dave Emery and Dave Miramant, senatorial candidates, hold a civil, informative debate

Tue, 10/25/2016 - 8:30am

CAMDEN — Perhaps you haven’t voted, yet. And perhaps you haven’t decided for whom to cast your ballot. If that is you, and you live in Senatorial District 12 (pretty much Knox County) then watch the Oct. 24 candidates forum held by the town of Camden. Dave Emery, R-Tenants Harbor, and Dave Miramant, D-Camden, spent more than 90 minutes explaining their positions in a fine example of political discourse. Click here to watch the forum.

Both Miramant and Emery responded to questions from reporters and the public with equal thoughtfulness. Their civility toward each other, and comprehensive answers did not go unnoticed, as the audience showed their appreciation with applause and compliments.

Wednesday, Chris Wolf will talk to Dave and get his views on his campaign, the senate in Maine and his vision for a better government. Emery is running against Dave Miramant for the Senate seat. Visit the PenBayPilot.com Voter Resource Center for information about both candidates, and their responses to specific questions.
