DAR to dedicate historic Tolman Cemetery in Rockland

ROCKLAND — The Lady Knox Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, is inviting the community to attend the dedication of the historic Tolman Cemetery in Rockland, final resting place of 24 Revolutionary War patriots. The dedication will be held on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m. at the cemetery.
The cemetery restoration and placement of historic markers was made possible through the generous grants from the NSDAR, City of Rockland, and the Viles Foundation.
Parking and shuttle service to the cemetery will be available at Johnson Memorial Park at the public beach at Lake Chickawaukie on Route 17 in Rockland.
