Traffic rerouted

Construction work to close portions of two Lincolnville, Camden roads for a spell

Thu, 07/17/2014 - 1:30pm

Two local roads used heavily by local commuters are, or will soon be, under repair by the Maine Department of Transportation and require detouring in certain spots.

Route 105 in Camden is closed for several days due to road maintenance activities. Follow the detour signs between Mt. Battie and Johnson roads.

Part of Route 173 in Lincolnville will be closed for a period of time around the beginning of August to replace a large culvert. The closure will be approximately 100 feet on either side of the structure close to the intersection of Route 52 heading toward Searsmont.

For motorists traveling to Searsmont, detour signs will direct traffic from Route 235 to Route 105. For those traveling from Searsmont toward Lincolnville, detour signs will direct traffic onto Route 105.

Farley and Sons Landscaping of Rockport is completing this $340,000 project, according to the DOT.
