BELFAST — Christopher C. Day, 34, of Belfast, passed away April 20, 2015, at his home. He was born Jan. 10, 1981, in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., the son of Robert and Lynn (Vigue) Day.

Chris graduated from Belfast Area High School Class of 1999 and continued his education at Barring Institute in Connecticut, where he studied diesel mechanics. He was employed at Dead River Company as a mechanic.

In 2003 he married Misty Temple and they settled and began raising their two children together in Belfast.

Chris loved spending time with his family, especially his son, Jake, who he lovingly referred to as his "big boy." He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and ice fishing, mudding and time tinkering with just about any type of motor.

He was predeceased by his mother, Lynn Day; and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Vigue.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Misty Day; his children, Natalie and Jacob, all of Belfast; his father, Robert Day of Swanville; his brothers, Nicholas Day and his wife, Megan, of Northport, and Mathew Day of Belfast; his brother-in-law, Jay Temple and his wife, Leanne, of Winterport; his father- and mother-in-law, Terry and Pauline Temple of Winterport; his nieces, Sierra Taylor and Destiney Temple; his paternal grandparents, Harry and Joanne Day of Dexter; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his special friends, Chris Morse and Travis Haber; and his dogs, Chloe, James and Anna.

A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, April 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast.
