Charlotte I. (Moore) Fernald Fraser, obituary

WESTMINSTER, MARYLAND — Charlotte I. (Moore) Fernald Fraser, 92, formerly of Camden and Bowdoin passed away October 30, 2017, while residing at Brightview Westminster Ridge, Westminster, Maryland. She was predeceased by her first husband, George A. Fernald of Camden, Maine in January, 1987 and her second husband, Roy C. Fraser of Bowdoin, Maine, in June, 2009.

Born in Warren, Maine, December 12, 1924, she was the daughter of Percy and Ella (Wiley) Moore.

She was an active member of the Camden Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years until moving to Bowdoin and changing membership to the Topsham SDA Church. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith and trust in God to guide her thru life's trials.

She will also be remembered for her love of the outdoors, her spirit of adventure, her wonderful cooking and baking, and her love of family. She loved hiking as evidenced by her climbing Mt. Kahtadin for the first time at age 87. Her dream for many years was to see Scotland. That dream was fulfilled at age 90, when she did a two week tour around Scotland with other family members.

She is survived by her four children: George A., Jr., Maine; Mary, Pennsylvania; David, Maine; and Joanna, Maine; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a niece and four nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Harold Moore of Warren and a sister, Betty (Moore) O'Rourke of California.

A graveside memorial will be held June 1, 2018 at Maplewood Cemetery, Ducktrap, Maine.
