Campagnoli named to USCAA Baseball All-Academic Award

ROCKLAND – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has announced its 2015 National All-Academic Team and former Oceanside High School baseball player Anthony Campagnoli was one of the award winners.

While in high school Campagnoli was home schooled, but played sports at both Rockland District High School and the consolidated Oceanside High School.

This past season Campagnoli played at Southern Maine Community College where he played in 17 games with a .227 batting average. He had five hits, six runs, six walks and only struck out four times.

On the mound Campagnoli pitched 17.2 innings allowing 11 hits and 11 runs, nine earned runs, with five walks and four hit batters. He struck out 12 and had an ERA of 4.58.

USCAA National All-Academic Team Guidelines are All student-athletes with 24 or more credits on their USCAA transcripts shall be eligible for the National All-Academic Team. Overall (cumulative) grade point averages must be 3.50 (on a 4.00 point system) or greater. GPA’s must be documented by way of an unofficial school transcript.
