CAMDEN — The Camden Windjammer Festival opened on Friday, Sept. 2, at the Camden Public Landing, an annual Labor Day tradition in this town known for schooners and lobsters, an amphitheatre overlooking the harbor, mountains, shopping and sightseeing.

Starting in the early morning, booths of vendors and exhibitors began setting up. By noon the landing was filling with people, and the harbor with marine activity as the area’s tall ships made their way into Camden Harbor.

The evening was capped by a schooner crew talent show and fireworks. The following gallery is a cross section of people who came to look, participate and compete.
