CAMDEN — The Camden Public Library is excited to announce our new video streaming service! If you're interested in independent, international, classic, or documentary films, you're in luck. Get out your library card and sign up for Kanopy, Camden Public Library's new on-demand video streaming service.

You can stream over 30,000 films from hundreds of popular producers such as The Criterion Collection, The Great Courses, and PBS, as well as thousands of independent filmmakers – on every topic imaginable. Each library member will receive ten credits every month, which will allow ten films to be watched. One the first day of each month, your credits will refresh!

The collection draws from the fascinating world of indie, art-house, international, and educational films on a vast array of topics. Topics include social justice, art, music, documentaries, and so much more.

There is a large collection of educational videos for kids as well, including lessons in math, science, art history, and more! This will be a great resource for homeschooling families.

You can watch Kanopy films on your television using Chromecast or an HDMI connection to a laptop, or directly on your desktop or laptop computer, Apple TV, Roku, iOS (iPhone, iPad), or Android device (phone or tablet). Please feel free to contact the library if you would like to discuss your options for viewing Kanopy.

All you need to get started is your library card. The process is fast and simple -- you'll be browsing the collection in no time!

If you'd like a hand signing up, call the library at (207) 236-3440 and we'll walk you through the process. Or, stop by the library and we'll be pleased to help you in person.
