CAMDEN – A 19-year-old Hope man was charged with burglaries at two Camden restaurant businesses that occurred in September.

According to Camden Police Detective Curt Andrick, Benjamin Welt was issued summonses for two counts of burglary. The police say that Welt broke into the Long Grain on Sept. 5 and the Camden Bagel Café on Sept. 20. Long Grain is located on Elm Street and the Bagel Cafe on Mechanic Street.

In the Long Grain burglary, cash and alcohol were taken; no items were taken at the Bagel Café.

Andrick said that they were able to charge Welt after police received new information in both cases.
