Camden Police beat: Drug possession, domestic assault, insurance violations

    CAMDEN — Camden police reported the following activity from June 1-30. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

    June 1

    Michael Ripley, 25, of Belfast, was issued a summons by Officer Wesley Butler for an inspection violation.

    June 2

    Vaughn Murphy, 52, of Knox, was issued a summons by Officer Timothy Davis for an inspection violation.

    June 3

    Joseph Corrado, 53, of Lincolnville, was issued a summons by Officer Samuel Butler for speeding.

    Simon Cook, 53, of Camden, was arrested by Sgt. Dan Brown for failure to pay fines.

    Caleb Emerson, 25, of Rockport, was arrested by Davis for operating after suspension.

    June 4

    Connor Maclelland, 20, of Southwest Harbor, was issued a summons by Davis summoned for failure to register vehicle.

    Henry Laurita, 19, of Camden, was issued a summons by Davis for an inspection violation and failure to produce insurance.

    June 5

    James Rutland, 77, of Lincolnville, was issued a summons by S. Butler for failure to produce insurance..

    Kalob Raymond, 24, of Vinalhaven, was issued a summons by S. Butler for failure to produce insurance.

    June 13

    Abbey Shields, 18, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Brown for speeding.

    June 14

    Damian Benner, 18, of South Thomaston, was issued a summons by W. Butler for possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Caleb Collins, 19, of Thomaston, was issued a summons by W. Butler for possession of marijuana.

    June 18

    Joshua Bennett, 30, of Camden, was arrested by Officer Brook Hartshorn for domestic assault and disorderly conduct.

    June 22

    Jennifer Messier, 41, of Hope, was issued a summons by Officer Allen Weaver for speeding.

    June 24

    Jesse Grinnell, 26, of Lincolnville, was arrested by Hartshorn for violation of conditions of release, possession of schedule drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    June 30

    Craig Holmes, 25, of Union, was issued a summons by W. Butler for unnecessary brake/acceleration.
