Camden Hills ice hockey ready for playoff opener

The Camden Hills varsity ice hockey team has qualified for the playoffs and will open postseason action with a road regional quarterfinal contest on Tuesday, Feb. 27. 

The Windjammers have gone 8-10 thus far in the season and finished sixth of 10 teams in Class B North. The top six teams in the division qualified for the playoffs. 

On Tuesday, the Windjammers will hit the road to Presque Isle where they will be challenged at the Forum at 6 p.m. by third-seeded Presque Isle who sits at 12-6 on the season. 

The two squads met during the regular season twice with each team winning once. 

Camden Hills secured a season opener victory over Presque Isle 8-5 on the road and then lost at home 6-3.
