Camden announces parking restrictions, road closure downtown for paving Sept. 21

    CAMDEN - Camden town officials Tuesday afternoon issues a notice that due to ongoing paving, Washington Street, from Gould Street to Elm Street (Route 1), will be closed to all parking on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from approximately 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    In addition, the one-way section of Washington Street, from Elm Street (Route 1) to Mechanic Street, will be closed to all through traffic from approximately 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

    All employees and businesses on that part of Washington Street will need to find alternative parking and delivery locations during that time.

    There will be flaggers on the job site and all vehicle traffic is alerted to use caution, or preferably find alternative routes, to their destination.
