CAMDEN — It’s been a long, and somewhat painful road for the Camden Snow Bowl’s redevelopment project, but word just in from the mountain is that the new triple chairlift is operating, and the slopes are officially ready for skiers and snowboards tonight.

In a press release Thursday at 5:30 p.m.:

“A BIT OF GOOD NEWS...While we initially thought that the Snow Bowl triple lift would not be running until January 31st, our final testing and safety checks went particularly smoothly. As a result, that lift will be operational a bit earlier than we thought - on Thursday, Jan. 29. Please come explore and enjoy the mountain starting on Thursday evening. We know this is no consolation for the long delay of a full opening this year, but we hope that the wait will feel worth it when you see the Snow Bowl improvements. Thank you for your patience.”

The Snow Bowl’s hours will be a little different than normal until next week:
    Thursday: 4  - 8 p.m.
    Friday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
    Saturday: 8:45 a.m. ribbon cutting, then open 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    Sunday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

And as a reminder, the Snow Bowl will provide refunds to season pass holder, if requested.

“We hope you will at least try the new Snow Bowl before you ask for a refund. But we will provide full refunds to season pass holders who request them during operating hours, Saturday, Jan. 31 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 1 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 4 and 5, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.,” said Snow Bowl General Manager Landon Fake in the release.
