Bonnie B. Fay, obituary

ROCKLAND – Bonnie B. Fay, 75, a longtime Rockland resident who more recently lived at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill in Camden, died Saturday, July 29, 2017, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough. Born June 16, 1942 at the Knox Hospital in Rockland, she was the daughter of Austin C. and Edith Gray Billings. She attended Rockland District High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society.

Bonnie worked from home for many years proofreading for Lakeside Printing before joining their office staff, eventually becoming the office manager. She also proofread for a time at the Courier Gazette. In later years, she completed her Paralegal degree, and worked with Attorney Anita Volpe. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, computer games, and rooting for her local teams, the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

She was predeceased by her husband George in 2005, Bonnie is survived by her son, Timothy C. Fay, of Portland; daughter, Lisa D. Fay, of Rockland, and Brother, Fred A. Billings, of Roscoe, NY.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 11th, at Achorn Cemetery, Old County Road, Rockland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County, P.O. Box 1294, Rockland, ME 04841. A full obituary will be published.
