The 2017 Camden High School Alumni Association Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Sponsors, Scholarship Donors and Auction Donors for their generous contributions to the 112th Camden High School Alumni Banquet. On August 11th, 155 alumni and guests from far and near enjoyed spending an evening at the beautiful Point Lookout venue with classmates and friends. Background music was provided by Sybil Wentworth as all enjoyed the delicious buffet.

The Silent Auction was a success and a big "Thank you" to all alumni and businesses who donated this year. Anyone wishing to donate something of value to the auction throughout the year may do so by contacting David Ames at damesref@tidewater.net or calling him at (207) 789-5118.

Last year's scholarship winner, Emma McGurren, gave a summary of her first year of college. Adam Landwehr, who received a scholarship when he graduated in 2011 also received a post-secondary one last year for his 5th year of college, he has graduated and was eager to announce he is happily employed as a Physical Therapist. They both impressed upon the group that they were very thankful for the financial help the scholarship provides to the college student.

The highlight of the evening was the Special Recognition Awards. Alumni Directors honor CHS Alumni who have made significant contributions to the CHS Alumni Association, Camden and the greater Camden area. This year's honored recipients were Elaine Alley Davis ('61), Joyce Milliken Richard ('55) and Claire Crabtree Frye ('49). For the first time, we drew two names from those attending to receive a free ticket to next year's banquet on August 10, 2018. The winners of the free tickets were Glenna Drinkwater and Charlie Jordon. Please join them for the 113th CHS Alumni Banquet.
