Better Together Bash at Rockport Y to celebrate community health programs, Feb. 8

Event has passed

ROCKPORT — The Penobscot Bay YMCA and its community health initiative, Penobscot Bay Community Health Partnerships (PBCHP), announce the Better Together Bash, a fun, free community event with live music and food to celebrate the Y's impactful community health promotion programs.

This event is open to all, taking place on Thursday, February 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Penobscot Bay YMCA, 116 Union Street, in Rockport.

The Better Together Bash is more than just a party—it's an opportunity for neighbors and friends to come together, learn, and celebrate the positive impact of the Y's community health promotion work, which focuses on substance misuse prevention, tobacco use prevention, recovery, and nutrition education for SNAP recipients. The event will showcase the importance of unity and collaboration in fostering a healthier, happier community.

Live music will be provided by Very Greasy, a collaboration of Midcoast musicians Rick McClellan, Andre Lascoutx, Erik Hallsey and Sam Yawdik. They offer an eclectic mix of world and dance music with select choices from El Rayo-X’s discography along with classic songs from Paul Simon, The Police, Ry Cooder, and more.
