BELFAST — French and Webb invites the community to its Memorial Day weekend celebration and champagne launching of Webfoot, a custom-made classic wooden power yacht that they’ve been building in its Belfast shop on the waterfront over the past two years.

Webfoot will be officially launched on Saturday, May 28 at 2 p.m. at the Belfast city docks.

The unique power yacht is 39 feet long, has 525 horse-power, and features brass and bronze hardware in addition to black walnut and mahogany joinery and a teak swim platform. Webfoot was designed by Belfast marine architect Mark Fitzgerald, with inspiration taken from the classic 1950's Hinckley picnic boat and the classic Maine lobster boat.

After the launch Saturday, Webfoot will remain on the Belfast city docks for all to see for about a week, after which it will make its first trip down the coast to Camden Harbor, which will be its permanent home.
